Warehousing and Self Storage Tips

• NEVER store boxes, mattresses or furniture on concrete.
  Most everything you put in a warehouse should be put on a piece of wood, plastic, cardboard or best yet on a palette (we have plenty of palettes, just ask and we can provide a few). Concrete can sweat or get wet in the spring months; your important items should be in a plastic bag if they should not be in a humid environment. If you are concerned with dust you can cover furniture, tables, ect. with old sheets or blankets.
• Always use a quality padlock.
  Remember these are your possessions; you probably don’t want anybody breaking your lock off. A quality lock would be a: #2, #3, or a disk lock.
• Do not store ANY food what so ever in your warehouse
  Mice and other pests can sometimes be a problem. While we use a pest control service to keep our warehouse and self storage units pest and rodent free, we strongly recommend you do not store ANY food products, if you do, it would be a good idea to use your own mouse traps or poison for added protection.
